The big couture brands such as: Christian Dior, Prada, and Chanel debuted their resort collections. With Marrakech as it's setting, the Dior show looked absolutely magical. The collection was clearly influenced by Moroccan culture in this collection through the prints, embroidering, color, and silhouettes shape. Prada's collection was both spring fun and sophisticated. Then there was Chanel which debuted the first collection with new designer Virginie Viard since the death of Karl Lagerfeld. I love this girly collection filled with frills, lace, bows, Peter Pan collars, bright colors, and prints. It is evident that Virginie Viard is taking notes and following the traditions of Coco Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld. Recently added is the Louis Vuitton collection filled with many great pieces. In contrast to the other collections for Resort 2020, the Louis Vuitton show had mostly dark and warmer tones.
